Project Description: How many words it has - eam PillPilot from Apple International Community School, UAE, presents PillPilot — an AI-powered autonomous robot designed to transform medicine delivery in healthcare. Built using PictoBlox and powered by two Quarky boards, the robot uses line-following sensors and ultrasonic detection to navigate safely through hospital corridors or rural areas. With three servo motors controlling secure medicine compartments and a 3D printed body, PillPilot is lightweight, modular, and scalable.
The project addresses a critical healthcare challenge: manual medicine delivery delays, errors, and overburdened staff. PillPilot supports nurses and pharmacists by automating logistics, ensuring timely and accurate medication delivery, especially in high-pressure or underserved environments.
Aligned with UN SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, the solution is affordable, customizable, and future-ready — with potential upgrades like voice commands or GPS tracking. PillPilot isn’t just a robot — it’s a step toward smarter, safer healthcare for all.
